Get Social Create a daily schedule that works the best for you and your family. The most beneficial schedule for each of your family members... or just you if you want! Why? When you choose or plan what you want to do in your daily life, you’ll usually want to do things that make you happy or that gives you the most utility. The point is planning things out creates a productive daily routine for you and your family. So how do you start creating the lovely productive daily schedule to better your life? You’ve got to start with what is most important to you and your family. Just sit down and write that list. Not in any specific order, just as you think of them. For example I think it’s important to plan a set meal time and plan my meals, but I’m TERRIBLE at doing that. So my list started with a regular meal time serving at least a somewhat healthy substance. Once you’ve got a great list of important things to work on, prioritize all of them. Once prioritized, start thinking about how each task best fits into your life the way life is currently. We are not trying to change too many things, just trying to start good habits. Think of this as the overall theme for your schedule making. Good habits that benefit you and your family. I suggest purchasing or creating each month a daily calendar for that month. Each month your priorities can change so it’s important to stay updated. I would love to hear what you prioritize for your family, or how schedule making has benefited you and your family.

Get Social Packing up all those christmas decorations can be a daunting task that I like to put off for as long as possible. This year I really needed to get everything packed up. Having christmas decorations everywhere can be very beautiful and cozy. However after awhile, it gets crowded and messy. So here it is day 3 after christmas... my decorations are in the shed, my tree is gone, well most of it. There is still plenty of christmas tree needles everywhere. For the most part everything has been re-arranged back to normal and it feels great. I wanted to share the methods I chose to keep my christmas decorations organized until next year. That's really the thing you should be focusing on. Will the way I packed this preserve my decoration until next christmas? Tip #1: Pack the christmas bulbs first! Pack them first because it's probably going to be the longest suckies task, so just get it done. I packed by bulbs in a blue tote in layers with leftover tissue paper. Also for extra padding, add the crunched up sticky bows that you never used on presents and such. Tip #2: I actually read this one on inspiringsavings.com and the article suggested going through the christmas decor left in your christmas boxes, or totes. If you didn't use those decorations this year, you probably won't next year. So pack up the old decorations for a yard sale next fall. Great idea! Tip #3: Christmas lights needs to be taken down and packed up in a way that they will not get tangled taking them back out next year. I chose to grab the bread ties I save in the junk drawer. I also ended up saving a ton of twistie ties off half the toys my daughter got this year. You could use zip ties too if you have them. Whatever you use just make sure to wrap the light strand up and twist tie up BOTH sides of the loop. I also packed the lights in their own bag and put them on the top of the same blue tote holding my christmas bulbs. Tip #4: Dispose of the christmas tree with help! Help from literally anyone you trust to be in your house. I'm not doing that shit by myself. Luckily I had my amazing boyfriend take out the tree for me. He even swept the needles up afterwards. Honestly I think he's cleaner than I am. Tip #5: Lastly, and possibly the most important. Pick a spot for all the new stuff you received for christmas. In my case desperately find a spot for all the new toys my daughter got. No matter what the case is with you, you need to find the place where each and every item is put away. Otherwise that item will always be laying around. I think the best tip overall for organizing items is using a tote, bag, or tupperware and pack with like items and then label. That’s It! That’s all I’ve got for you today. I hope everyone had an amazing holiday filled with love, joy, and good family. By the 'Right Way' I mean grow over that rock there, it would look cool, okay green plant? Thanks. I took a photo so you can see my... ingenuity we'll call it :P I have this great plant that grows everywhere, but it just wouldn't grow down this rock lamp. How cool would that look once it really grew out!? I never turn on the lamp so it's not that it's to hot. I couldn't figure out the best way to get this plant to GROW THE RIGHT WAY! lol Now if you are like me you have a bunch of jewelry that you sort of still like, but never really wear. I figured I could spare one out of that bunch, so I found the heaviest ring I had and hung it on the plant like so. I know I could tie it down or something, or probably just give it more time to grow, but neither of those are very fun! My hope is it will grow nicely around the whole rock, we'll see how it goes. Do you have any plants you're trying to grow the right way? How do you normally do it? |
